Marriage is a union of two souls who promise to care for each other for the rest of their lives. They share their problems, grief, joys and swear to support each other through thick and thin. The bride and groom pay a lot of attention on their appearance on this special day. The bride wears elaborate clothes and jewellery items such as earrings, bracelets, rings and necklaces. Brides of today 2010 have many more options in jewelry than ones that came before them, and they have variety of resources to choose from. Bridal Jewellery is manufactured of gold, white gold, platinum and/or silver and set with expensive and beautiful diamonds.

Wedding is an occasion that reflects traditions and customs of a particular region. These traditions vary a lot depending on religion, cultures and ethnic beliefs. And Asia is a continent which is rich in so many countries having multifarious cultures and traditions. These countries (especially Pakistan, India and Bangladesh) are different in all walks of life but they do have one thing in common- the presence of traditional jewellery on weddings.
A wedding is a very special day or an event in the life of a girl. Bridal jewellery is the most important thing that a girl has longed for and it is just an ideal gift for a bride. Everyone wants to be the best on this special day both in terms of dress as well as jewelry. The bridal jewellery is not only the most important part but plays a traditional role in the wedding ceremony too.
In Asia, the brides used to wear only gold or platinum in the past but now this has changed. Now brides wear jewellery in gemstones as gemstones are available in a variety of colours. In fact, in some Asian countries, they adorn the bride with the jewellery of her birthstones. This is a very common culture of some Asian countries.
When you attend some eastern weddings, you will see the bride wearing numerous jewellery items. The wedding jewellery includes necklace, ear rings, bangles, jhoomar, matha patti, tika, rings, nath (big nose pin) and many other items. Out of so many jewellery items necklace is the most important.
In traditional bridal jewellery, there is more variety in pearl, gemstones and crystals. And they are more economical as compared to gold. These stone and pearls are being used more nowadays in Asian bridal weddings as they are more cost effective as compare to gold and platinum.
